Notes from Nolen

Hurricane Plan
Due to the projections for Hurricane Irma, we are establishing a wise, precautions plan of action. All activities at Legacy Church from now through Sunday, September 10, are being canceled.
Most people are evacuating from Southwest Florida, so there will be far less of us here in the next few days.
Should the path of the hurricane change significantly, I will send out another communication if we are sure it is safe to have a worship service on Sunday morning. Such service would call for an adjusted format due to the large number of people who are evacuating.
The beginning of the new upcoming teaching series listed below will be delayed for one week. Dates have been adjusted accordingly below.

Upcoming Teaching Series

September 17 A New Thing, Nolen Rollins (Isaiah 43:14-21)

Giving
If you are leaving town, may I encourage you to drop off your tithes and offerings before leaving town or drop them in the mail, as our budget expenses continue even if we are not able to have a service on Sunday.

Be Safe, Be Praying for Protection and Trust God in the Midst of the Storms of Life.

As I compile this message the words of an old hymn come to mind. May it encourage you in the coming days ...

Til the Storm Passes By

In the dark of the midnight
Have I oft hid my face,
While the storm howls above me,
And there's no hiding place;
'Mid the crash of the thunder,
Precious Lord, hear my cry,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Till the storm passes over,
Till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand
In the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

I hope to see you Sunday Lord willing and the creek don't rise,
Pastor Nolen
